Rev. Yvette Trujillo is a daughter of the Borderlands, raised in the Rio Grande Valley south of Las Cruces. Her roots in southern New Mexico and formative years in the Pacific Northwest have deeply shaped her sense of place, belonging, and spiritual life.

Rev. Yvette has been a licensed Religious Science Practitioner since 2014 and completed her ministerial studies through Emerson Theological Institute. Before entering ministry, her path included organizational leadership, teaching, and community building—experiences that continue to shape the way she leads and serves.

As Community Spiritual Leader of the Center for Spiritual Living in the Heart of Las Cruces, she is passionate about creating a community where people feel welcome and can show up as they are. She believes spiritual practice isn’t about escaping the complexity of being human or aspiring to some kind of perfection. It’s about being present to life, including the parts that are beautiful, difficult, and messy.

Her approach to ministry is grounded in relationship and shared community. She values curiosity, honest conversation, and a spirituality we practice in everyday life—one that helps us see ourselves and one another with greater compassion.

For Rev. Yvette, spiritual community is a place to connect, care for one another, and recognize the sacred in the lives we are already living.
